Table Rock Lake

We had a little family vacation at the lake this past weekend.  It was a nice to get to spend some good quality time together and just relax.  We stayed at Still Water Resort and there we were able to rent a boat, kayaks and much more.  I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked but I guess I spent my time relaxing instead of behind a camera the entire trip.

Summer Camping

Have I ever mentioned how much I love camping?  Well I do.  This was our first camping trip of the year and the weather couldn't have been better.  I love being outdoors in the nature and spending time with our God and amazing family.  We went to Hillsdale Lake and found a camp site to pitch our tent!  (Side note: Hillsdale Lake is a very nice camp site and close - huge bonus)  We started our fire, grilled out, and enjoyed conversation while loved watching the sun set and rise.  Best summer weekend yet - on so many different levels!  I didn't take too many pictures because I mainly just wanted to enjoy each others company and soak up nature.

A Barn Wedding

Do you remember my friend Alina?  She got married this last Saturday in Towanda Kansas.  The girls and I from church made it a fun little outing by having all the men ride together and all us ladies ride together in seperate vehicles.  We had so much fun together making this a day trip!  Alina and Jonathan's (Jonny as I call him) wedding was inside a barn!  Soooo cool!  They were blessed with a beautiful day in December - a whopping 50 degrees!  Alina was an absolute stunning bride.  And when you looked at the two of them, Alina and Jonny, you can see L.O.V.E shine through them!  It was a magical day.

Getting all fixed up!

Us girls with Mrs. Jonathan Jonny Strain

Lord,  Bless the marriage of Alina and Jonathan Strain.  Help them, Lord, to keep firm in the commitments they have just made. Guide them as they become a family, as they each change through the years.  May they be flexible as they are faithful.  Help them to forgive one another's failings and grant them patience, kindness, cheerfulness and the spirit of placing the well-being of one another ahead of self.  And Lord, help us all to be your hands if there be need. Strengthen, tenderly all of our commitments, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.

KU Homecoming

This last weekend, my family all met in Lawrence for KU's homecoming game.  Unfortunately they lost but we got some good quality family time in - nothing is better than that.  I love my family!

Janessa and Jordan waiting for the game to start.

Jessie and Garrett!  I caught Garrett in the middle of a blink - figured I wouldn't retake since I was already the embarrassing sister taking pictures in the student section!

The husband and myself in our KANSAS gear!

Sister and I are lovin' our free flags!

Jerry and Mother were too cool to sit in the student section!  Love ya guys!  But they were across the stadium so I didn't get a picture of them!  We had a nice time - game action, Free State Brewery for lunch and then to Garrett's apartment for some R&R time!

Dean experienced a migraine that started Saturday evening into Sunday mid-morning.  Poor guy - I was lucky enough to be his stay at home nurse! :)  I even sported my “I Love My Husband" tee Sunday!  Below is my proof.

Happy Thursday!
