Winter Fitness Plan

Looking for a new workout?  Turbo Fire might be for you too!!  I've been thinking about how I'm gonna get my fitness in this winter.  I joined a gym but realistically I won't drive to the gym when It's 5 below.  So I've been searching for the perfect in home workout plan.  I finally found it and started it on Monday --- Turbo Fire!  I got the opportunity to try out this program before I purchased it and I fell in love within 10 minutes.  If you purchase Turbo Fire off Beachbody.com then its whopping $120 but I purchased it off Ebay for $50.  You get 14 workouts on 10 DVD's, plus a class schedule, nutrition guide and much more!   The classes range anywhere from 15-60 minutes just depending on the workout.  If you follow her workout schedule for the best results then you are working out 6 days a week!  I really enjoy Chalene Johnson - she's positive, up-beat and encouraging.  I love how she's choreographed the workout to the fun upbeat music!  It's a combination between kickboxing and plyometrics and just some high intensity cardio. "The Turbo Fire classes also include fire drills, also know as High Intensity Interval Training {HIIT}.  These drills push you to your max for up to 1-minute bursts, with quick recovery periods.  Studies show that HITT ignites your metabolism, enabling your body to burn more calories for up to 48 hours after your workout." So as you can see - I'm very excited about this.  All you need is a DVD player, TV and yourself --- Don't forget to press PLAY!!!!

Romantic Nearcation

Dean & I finished out our anniversary celebration!  We bought our house the very end of June and with all the projects we had to make it liveable we couldn't break away for a mini vacation.  We went to the Melting Pot at the Country Club Plaza to celebrate our first year of marriage on July 2nd, but we still wanted to do a little more!  We told ourselves that in the fall, we'd do a little more!  So this past weekend we headed out to Parkville, Mo and stayed in a B&B and enjoyed the historic town!  We had a blast walking the town, doing some antiquing and just enjoying each other.  Even though we were only 45 min to an hour away from our house it felt like we were hours away!  I highly recommend this location to anyway wanting a small get-a-way!

This scripture was a reading from our Wedding.

Ephesians 5:22-33

Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church- for we are members of his body. "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh." This is a profound mystery-but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Black/King Rehearsal

My favorite only sister got married this a week ago.  WOW!  I still can't believe it.  There is just something about family and the love you feel when everyone is together.  I'm so blessed to have such an amazing family.  Janessa is an incredible woman who is found her man and I'm so happy for them both.  I pray God will bless there marriage in the good and bad times.  Remember to keep Christ your #1 priority in your marriage

 SIBLINGS!

I love you Mrs. King!

"But at the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'' For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate."  --- Mark 10:6-9
